Think it might have to do with a lot of the stuff for campaigns being archived on those forums.

Because the people who stayed are pretty dumb.


Archives existing isn't really a legitimate excuse.

So, because I was looking for something, I decided to try and log onto the mothership forums because it was in my post history.

They now link your DCI number to your account (good idea) and passwords require an uppcase letter, a lowercase letter, a number, a symbol, and be between 7 and 29 characters. What. The. Heck.

Yup.

It's almost like they don't want you to log in anymore.

You should have seen the Moroii thread back on the mothership (oops, I mean Masks of the Dimir). they certainly wouldn't be sorry to see me gone.

The mothership taught me that the internet experiences night at the same time.

Never give out your password. Not even to the company you access with that password. Really, you'd expect it to be taught in schools, but schools aren't big on teaching life skills.

If I had to guess by the user name, I would say they are in their 40s or possibly 30s. I little to early for such teachings unless they went to school with a lot of foresight.

Of course it could be some new kid culture reference thing I don't know or understand. "Get off my lawn!"

Fun fact: The FBI is investigating the Saint Louis Cardinals for corporate espionage. Members of the Cardinals staff allegedly hacked into the Houston Astro's scouting database. How did they do this? One of the members of Astro's scouting staff was an ex-employee of the Cardinals, and reportedly frequently reused passwords. Currently it is believed that someone form the Cardinals organization simply tried the same password the man had used while he was in Saint Louis to access the Astro's database.

Reading about the Cardinals/Astros is one of the ≈10 times a year that I think about changing all my passwords..and then do not.

But at least it makes it easier for me if I every decide to revisit the Mothership's forums. But it looks like they're as bad as ever. It took a lot to make me leave and come to NGA, but man those things are pretty unusable.
