I actually like this mechanic. It needs better wording though. Basically, "whenever" = triggered ability, but this is a replacement effect, so it shouldn't have that.

I thought Fylgja was a really cool card back in the day, not that I ever learned how to pronounce it.

What do you think happens if it take 1 damage while "damage can't be prevented"? Would it remove 1 counter or all of them?

1. replacement effects can only modify any event once.

anyway I really like this mechanic, although the name needs work. "Shielded", maybe?
