Counter target spell an opponent controls unless its controller has you look at their hand and choose a nonland card in their hand or graveyard. Exile the chosen card and you may cast that card as long as it remains exiled. You may spend mana as though it were any color to cast that card.
The price is low but the cost is high.

The Ego and The Self
Legendary Enchantment
When ~ comes into play, choose one:

•Ego- During your precombat main phase, add to your mana pool. If you counter a spell or destroy a permanent, draw a card and lose 1 life.

•Self- During your precombat main phase, add to your mana pool. You have hexproof. Permanents you control have hexproof during your turn.

When death arrives only one remains. The ego hates itself and will do anything to stay in control. The self doesn’t have to do anything. It knows.

I don't see how "The Ego and the Self" came from "Terms and Conditions".

  • Creatures you control get +2/+0 and attack or block this turn if able.
  • Exile the top two cards on your library. You may play those cards this turn. At the beginning of the next upkeep, you lose 2 life for each card you didn't play this way.
  • Spells you control cost less to cast this turn but targets must be chosen at random.
