These card names. I feel like you should unlock something if you play them all in order.

Between this and Oketra's Last Mercy there's some pretty strong life gain (in the same set that they decided to make Lightning Strike cost 3 mana). I wonder what they're trying to do with it?

Just a little diddy 'bout Jack and Diane...

Seeing this card it just hit me why I feel Samut as a walker was so underwhelming. Speaking strictly for myself, one thing that I think is interesting about walkers is them being interesting to see in worlds other than their home plane.

To illustrate: most planes don't have werewolves, so Arlinn is interesting. Tibalt's sadism can be interesting to see applied to other planes. Kiora can interact with the variety of sea monsters in different worlds and many worlds have ghosts Kaya can kill.

But I can't for the life of me imagine Samut being interesting outside of Amonkhet. Not that the character is all that right now, but you know what I mean.

Is this Modern playable as SB against Burn (in the same vein as Feed the Clan)?

It looks like Samut is coming back for War of the Spark so we'll see if you're right

And she'll only have 35 other walkers to rely on to carry the set.

I loved this card in physical draft because people thought gaining 8 life for 1 mana was busted and would take it over actual cards

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought of this!

Now that War of the Spark Samut is spoiled, what are your thoughts?

But she's still kind of on Amonkhet because of the planar bridge bringing all her friends along

Still, she has a simple and easily transplanted theme
