Gaea's Protector |
Creature - Elemental Warrior (C)
~ must be blocked if able.
Fallen Phyrexians were transmuted into elementals by Gaea long ago, but Yavimaya's other inhabitants still regard them with unease.
4/2

Cool flavor.

ehhhhhh I would have preferred them to split the difference on power toughness into a 3/3 so that a 2/? cant just make it meh. I mean sure whatever blocks it is likely to die bar first strike and such but 4cc for removal seems a bit much even for green, which is what this is.

Pretty much a green Edict, which at 4 mana is kind of lame, but being a creature you can do a lot more with it to get extra mileage.

This is bad. I mean I'll play a 4/2 in limited if I have to or have a good reason, but I expect to pay 3 for it not 4.
This IS better than an vanilla 4/2 but not 1 mana better.

I am trying to imagine a limited environment that you are happy to have this but it's hard. I guess it's insane vs. 1/3s and 0/4s.

Preferred Pronoun Set: he/him/his/his/himself
So, nobody is going to talk about how Gaea easily gets away with basically what Phyrexians are hated for, right ?

This might be the most ironic card of the set.
