Hi there, got here thanks to Wuster :)

Am I right that we're submitting BO1 lists? Do I need to provide comment/explanation?

Yes, Bo1 preferably. Comments would be nice, but you don't need to write anything.
Deadline is tomorrow.

DaRkStAr has already mentioned it, but I just want to remind participants that the deadline is tomorrow and you need to message me with your lists.
I only have 1 submission so far. I know your all waiting for the last moment to fine-tune your magnificent decks, but don't forget to send me your delicious jank to make those poor judges suffer. :)

If we still have only 3 submissions, even an untested deck would be nice i guess.

Only 3 :/ Is that how it ended? It was fun!

I devised a Quasi/Naru combo, and boom — it appeared on reddit twice on the evening of my submission.

To be clear: you need a Vindictive Vampire or a Poison-Tip Archer for the combo to be actually winning. I tried to compose many shells for it: Dimir control, Dimir midrange, Esper midrange, Sultai Explore + this, but started and ended up with Sultai saproling-go-wide version. Explore worked even slightly better probably, but was too boring and similar to the meta deck :) And I don't really have cards for seriously trying other ones :/ Sultai also allows to add some Replicates, but I struggled to find place for it and forgot after all :)

Outside of the combo I only threw together Izzet wizards, somewhat like DaRkStAr did.

Yeah, something happened... War of the spark, now nobody cares about the contest because they have new toys to play with...

You can always redo submissions after WAR excitement dies down. Some new toys in WAR that might be fun with quasi. Mana tricky, but Feather, the Redeemed could be interesting in a deck with it.

I was really, really hoping CGB was judging again. He came along during my break from the game and community and I really don't know him but do really like the stuff he does and would like to see him play my deck.
As long as someone does that would be great. I'm not bitching just repeating myself that I don't have the time to judge myself because of the hours of my new job. After working in a job for 17 years where you really have to worry about not working at all in the winter maybe I'm not only enjoying a salaried position, I'm really enjoying what I'm doing even if it's for 11 hours a day, 5 days a week. I also look at it this way. My starting salary is more than I was making and it's just starting. I can only go up. Still wish I had the time to judge though.
Good luck to everyone once we get this going.

CGB passed due to lack of time.

I guess I'm gonna have to postpone the contest due to lack of judges. Sorry to those that submitted lists.

Don’t worry, you wouldn’t have won. Haven was unstoppable those days
