Just watched this Brazilian movie, Mars One. Really liked it a lot. Family drama, basically.

As a Nihilist I say we let all debt default. Let the whole thing burn to the ground and we will rebuild it from the ashes. I welcome a new world order.

I have no idea what I'm talking about, but I'm an eagle.scout so I could just move to the forest and live happily for the rest of my life. I dont know what's going to happen to you guys. Good luck.

Timh, I watched RRR last night and in ONE sitting! Can't believe it. I liked it a lot. Really good momentum to the story.

It's the first time I've ever watched a foreign movie where I couldn't decide if I wanted to watch it in English or Hindi. I was putting subtitles regardless but I kept switching back cuz I couldn't tell which was better. BOTH vocal performances were really good, but I think I preferred the English ones in the end. Also when I did Hindi, it wasn't lining up to what the actors where saying so it was really distracting. I only want original soundtrack if it hasn't been redubbed at all. Otherwise I'm losing 95% of the performance.

It was really awkward watching it in English since many of the scenes between Bareem and the chick were translated by Rham. So i'm hearing someone talk English (cuz it's dubbed), then say in ENGLISH what they just said in ENGLISH (because I'm not using a Hindi soundtrack). So those scenes were super awkward, lol

Glad to hear you enjoyed it since I hyped it so hard lol. I thought it was a total blast. I want to watch Sisu cause I heard a reviewer say it’s like if the 1980s as a decade mated with the movie RRR

It defaulted to English for me and I just watched most of it dubbed. I had the same problems when Bheem met the English Lady and they were having communication issues. It’s was kinda funny when he would say something I heard in English and she’d say ‘Im sorry I can’t understand you’ and then he’d express it again in worse English and she’d be like ‘ooooh that’s what you mean’ :V

The problem isn’t the debt, it’s the assets. The cascade effect could be pretty scary. Do you, for example, already have everything you’d need to keep yourself and your family alive? When the bank run happened in Cyprus, you couldn’t even buy anything.

Just watched Da 5 Bloods by Spike Lee. I don’t think I really liked it.

Really glad I saw RRR tho.

My next two movies are:
Elena
The Edge of Democracy

Would that matter to a nihilist? Asking for a friend

My baby sister is getting married this weekend and I’m flying out to MI tomorrow for it on the long weekend. She recently cracked 30 and has been wanting a fam for a while now (sharing hilariously cringy screen shots of opening lines from guys on dating apps in our sibling chat thread - thank god I dodged the advent of online dating apps). She started dating this guy like 6 months ago and my oldest sister immediately started wedding planning - we had unofficial wedding invites before the poor guy even had a chance to propose lol. Prob gunna have a new niece or nephew in 9 mos

No. I think it takes a certain amount of mental instability to be a true nihilist. Say for example I end up moving to the deep forest and living out the rest of my life. What do I do? Burn the forest down? Nah, I need that forest to live. Ahhhhhh, a connection to something! Nihilism failure.

my favourite of those oxymorons is my buddy Dom who is an anarchist but has been living on welfare most of his adult life.

So....he wants to bring down the government... but relies on it to live?

Have you seen any of these anarchy communities? Its a joke, all they do is sit around and talk about things. They sure do make a lot of "agreements." Which sound like rules to me but what the **** do I know? I mean, they are literally living in a commune, agreeing on how to share responsibilities and resources, yet refuse to call it communism. Nope, they're living in anarchy! LOL

I grew up way out in the countryside. It's way more anarchy out there. Basically; This is MY land and you will stay off it. You do whatever you want on YOUR land but you stay TF off mine. You cross that fence line and risk getting shot. But, if you're a good person, come on over any time to borrow a cup of sugar and some eggs. There is no sitting down talking about guidelines. There is what you can protect and what you can't. You keep important things close and dont sweat things you cant control.
