@arathinius: I really like the idea. it clearly pushes toward a five-color deck without actually needing you to put all five together in order to work. I marked it down a bit because the rules would be complicated and possibly unintuitive, and I'm not sure how it works with set support (how much prismatic mana does your set need before this is viable, and what does that do to the environment?) but it's a clever take.

@Rubik: I'm so mad about the flavor text. beyond that, it's basically Converge but I liked the rider. I'm not sure it perfectly fits the criteria 'cause I don't think you can just replicate this format on a bunch of cards and call it a set, but the individual design is nice, and I like how it drives home the "actually be five-color" theme while still rewarding you for each step along the way.

it wound up fairly high because it was one of the better actual solutions to the problem at hand, although admittedly a fairly workhorse one. kicker mechanics are always a bit tricky because they require a lot of extra text, but they've shown a willingness to do that in the past and I don't think this is a particularly problematic instance of it. my main critique is that it's not super interesting: it's sunburst-multikicker. that's not necessarily a bad thing: most people who tried to do big, flashy stuff had trouble with the criterion. it just means it's not super exciting, just solid.

this fell fairly middle-of-the-pack. I like the mechanic, but a) it's very complicated, and b) it doesn't really fit into non-green colors, which makes it not the best enabler. like, you could maybe bleed it a bit, but basically the message I'm getting from it is that your solution is "make all the decks be base-green" which isn't viable. I like it as maybe a faction mechanic where the green faction's deal is "run a little of all the colors" but I'm not sure it's a good fit for Fifth Dawn. there's also a slight balance concern: a cantripping Centaur Courser is pretty nuts.

like Rio's, this wasn't the most exciting design, but it did what basically no one else did and presented me with an actual, viable answer to the question. it's a little fuzzy in that I could run Sunwielder in, say, a deck and still trigger it plenty, but if I have red Spectrum cards too then it becomes useful to try to add another color and so on. I'm not sure it really pushes all the way to 5 colors very effectively, but it feels like a solid part of the solution. the flavor's good too.

I don't love the "colors among permanents" approach 'cause it's an artifact block, but I like the multi-threshold thing, it makes it scale without being too complex. you get rewards along the way but you don't have to track the exact number. would've liked some better flavor but *shrug*
